Otto Max Koegel (16 October 1895-27 June 1946) was a German SS officer who joined the Nazi Party in 1932. In 1937, he was stationed at Dachau concentration camp, before taking over as commandant of Ravensbrück in 1940. In 1942, Koegel became commander of Majdanek Extermination Camp, before being transferred to Flossenbürg in 1943. After the war, after initially managing to avoid arrest, Koegel was captured by the United States Army in 1946. Shortly afterwards, Koegel killed himself.
